Working the Core

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

The Core is the foundation of your body. Unless your core is sound, you are susceptible to maladies that no amount of push-ups or sit-ups can help.

Your Core muscles are your lower abdominals, lower back, and pelvic floor.

See my video blogs for sample exercises.

Stay strong,

    Hi Lin M,

If you mean soreness DURING exercise, that is a signal to stop. If your lower abs get a little sore AFTER exercise, that's OK. it means you have pushed your muscle to the higher end of the KREBS cycle and it needs to recover.

Give that muscle a day off.

Hope that helps. Thanks for writing.

So if your lower abdominal muscles gets sore while crunching, does that mean it is working?
